Senior Director, Strategic Alliance Development

Location: Boston

Salary $160,000- 220,000 plus compensation, benefits, bonus

i-Pharm is currently partnered with a global well-renowned pharmaceutical company for a Senior Director, Strategic Alliance Development to join the head office.

The position will be to join a highly experienced team to support the overall success of the US Commercial organization by engaging diverse stakeholders across political and healthcare landscapes to forge solutions that drive patient access.

The position will be focused on working with innovative rare disease products.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Working closely with Federal and State Government Affairs, US Policy, Patient Advocacy, Market Access, and Therapeutic Area leads.
  • Create a strategic plan to engage with external partners.
  • Manage product and therapeutic area policy issues, represent the Government Accountability Policy, GAP function for brands and provide strategic counsel to functional leaders.
  • Lead analysis of trends for brands and advising on emerging and existing healthcare policies and trends. Identify opportunities, challenges and risk areas.
  • Patient Advocacy support and support with external patient education programmes
  • Lead and attend policy campaigns
  • Organize thought leadership events

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required. JD or MBA desirable
  • Minimum 5-10 years of pharmaceutical experience in a healthcare policy.
  • Experience with reimbursement or market access or, payer experience.
  • Strong understanding of US healthcare policy/government affairs
  • Advanced knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Marketplace, VA, DoD, 340B and Commercial programs and payer policies, reimbursement processes, and reimbursement coding inclusive of strategy development
  • Knowledge of Government price calculations and compliance regulations preferred
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and be an excellent communicator
  • Strong analytically
  • Able to be a self-starter and enjoy leading on event planning
  • Passionate about working within the industry and providing healthcare for patients with rare diseases
