As a QC Lab Tech II, you will join a diverse, enthusiastic, and hard-working team committed to saving lives by finding a cure for cancer. The QC Sample Management unit within the QC Services Department offers various services including data management, LIMS support, sample management, material management, incoming goods sample management, and laboratory equipment lifecycle management.

In this role, you will provide high-quality support for Quality Control and operations while ensuring compliance with protocols, GXP, and safety regulations. The nature of our treatment requires a high level of proficiency, ownership of the process, and exceptional aseptic techniques and precision.


Responsibilities:

  • Maintain housekeeping of the QC sample management area.
  • Uphold 5S areas, including Kanban areas.
  • Follow effective procedures consistently.
  • Complete GxPLearn and Glearn training promptly.
  • Escalate non-conformities (deviations).
  • Perform small improvement projects.
  • Distribute QC samples to QC labs.
  • Receive QC samples and EM plates.
  • Transfer samples from -80°C to LN2 storage.
  • Perform the Aph accession as the performer function.
  • Dispose of samples according to procedure in a timely manner.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned.

Your Profile:

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment with a hands-on mentality and strong organizational skills to ensure smooth sample flow. Willingness to work shifts and overtime is essential. Basic laboratory techniques and QC experience are preferred. Team spirit and the willingness to assist other teams within QC are highly valued.


Education:

  • Secondary Laboratory Education (MLO, Preferable level 3 / 4) or similar educational background.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • QC experience in a technical role in the biotech and/or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Sample management experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to read in English.
  • Knowledge of GMP, GDP, and SOPs.
  • Car drivers preferred due to shift times - Candidates MUST be able to be on-site at 7am and stay until midnight.

Additional Information / Requirements:

  • Willingness to work in shifts (including weekends, late evenings, and bank holidays).
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
