HR Director (Liverpool) - 6 months
About the Role:
We are working with a Global Biotechnology company who are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Director / Business Partner to drive strategic HR initiatives and enhance employee and business performance. This leadership role will collaborate closely with business leaders to deliver innovative HR solutions across key areas, including talent management, change management, performance management, organizational design, employee engagement, and more. The role will be integral in shaping the HR strategy, aligning it with business objectives to support the organization's growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:
- HR Strategy Development: Develop and execute an operational HR plan that aligns with the organization’s strategic goals, ensuring effective outcomes in talent, performance, and organizational growth.
- Strategic Partnering: Build strong relationships with senior leadership to act as a trusted advisor on people-related matters, driving high performance across teams.
- Talent & Succession Management: Lead the talent management process, identify critical roles, manage the talent pipeline, and create strategies for retention, development, and succession planning.
- Performance Management: Oversee the end-to-end performance review process, guide leaders in managing performance, setting SMART objectives, and driving a culture of feedback and accountability.
- Culture & Engagement: Work with leaders to drive a positive organizational culture, create action plans to address employee engagement survey results, and foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- Employee Relations & Change Management: Provide expert guidance on employee relations issues, manage consultation during restructures, handle grievances, and support negotiations for workplace agreements.
- Organizational Design: Support the design and implementation of an organizational structure that supports business needs, ensuring adaptability to market changes.
- Leadership Development: Identify key leadership and technical capability gaps, and develop solutions to address these gaps through training, coaching, and career development initiatives.
- Workforce Planning & Total Rewards: Collaborate on strategic workforce planning to ensure the company is prepared for future business needs. Deploy total rewards strategies to attract, retain, and motivate top talent.
- HR Metrics & Data Analysis: Use data-driven insights to inform HR decisions, measure the success of HR initiatives, and continuously improve people processes.
What You’ll Need:
- Experience: Proven experience in progressive HR leadership roles, working within a matrixed organization and collaborating with trade unions. Manufacturing industry experience is preferred.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal, communication, and project management skills. Ability to influence senior leadership and drive strategic HR initiatives.
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of HR processes, change management, strategic workforce planning, and total rewards. Experience in a global, dynamic environment is essential.
Work Schedule:
- Full time - 6 month contract
- Hybrid role: 3 days in the Liverpool Office
