As they continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Manager to join our team in Sydney, Australia.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a Finance Manager who will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the financial operations of a Global Contract Research Organisation (CRO). The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the financial health of the company by providing strategic financial guidance, developing budgets, monitoring financial performance, and implementing financial best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Prepare and financial statements, reports, and forecasts to provide senior management with insights into the company's financial performance.
  • Collaborate with department heads to create and manage annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to optimise the company's financial position.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of financial professionals, including accountants and analysts.
  • Assess financial risks and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare and submit financial reports to regulatory authorities and tax authorities as required.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of accounts payable and receivable.
  • Evaluate and recommend cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in financial regulations and industry trends to ensure compliance and competitive advantage.
  • Assist in financial due diligence for potential acquisitions or partnerships.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA/CA preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Finance Manager or similar role in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements in Australia.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • High level of integrity and ethical conduct.
