Job Title: EHS Specialist III

Work location: Haarlem, Netherlands

Work structure: Monday to Friday, 40H/W. 4 days onsite.

Contract duration: 6-months. Potential to become permanent or extend after contract

Pay rate: €50 - €60/hour

Language requirement: Dutch and English fluency

A multinational pharmaceuticals company is seeking a dedicated EHS Specialist III to join their team in Haarlem, Netherlands. This role involves ensuring compliance with Dutch EHS legislation and maintaining safety standards across the site, including labs, maintenance departments, and production areas. This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for health, safety, and industrial hygiene.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with Dutch law and company EHS standards.
• Oversee safety activities on-site and conduct risk evaluations (RI&E).
• Develop and implement EHS standards, programs, and safety training.
• Participate in hazard reviews, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
• Collaborate with global colleagues to continuously improve EHS performance and culture.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Science, or (Chemical) Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in EHS, preferably in manufacturing or pharmaceutical environments.
• Knowledge of Dutch EHS laws and regulations, permits, enforcement and industry practice relevant to pharmaceutical (chemical) industry.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.
• Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
