Job Title: Consultant Epidemiologist

Work location: Basel, Switzerland

Work structure: Monday to Friday, 3 days on-site

Contract duration: Initial 3-months contract

Pay rate: 80 CHF/hour - 100 CHF/hour

A leading pharmaceuticals company is seeking an experienced Consultant Epidemiologist to join their team in Basel. This role is pivotal in supporting the client's rapidly growing needs in Real-World Evidence (RWE) and Post Authorisation Safety Studies (PASS) for rare diseases and haematology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Post Authorisation Safety Studies (PASS): Design and adapt PASS to comply with European requirements, particularly if transitioning from FDA studies.
• Support Real-World Evidence (RWE) Projects: Contribute to Health Technology Assessment (HTA) submissions and provide expert input on various RWE studies.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with internal teams, external partners, and molecule originators to deliver on epidemiological needs.
• Advise and Oversee Study Execution: Serve as an advisor, direct contributor, or in an oversight role in study execution, ensuring high standards of delivery.
• Stakeholder Management: Maintain strong communication with the client's stakeholders and provide periodic updates to our client.

Requirements:

• Experienced Epidemiologist: At least a manager-level consultant with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Previous Experience in Rare Diseases/Hematology: Desired but not essential.
• On-site Availability: Minimum of 3 days per week in Basel
• Excellent Communication Skills: Proficient in English, comfortable managing multiple stakeholders.
• Commercial Mindset: Willing to partner closely with our client to strengthen the relationship.
