Area Sales Manager - Livestock

My client is a leading Animal Health company, renowned for their excellent products and outstanding customer service. Established over 60 years ago, they have become a respected name in the industry. As a global organisation, they offer a diverse range of products across Livestock, Companion Animal, and Equine sectors.

Role Overview:

We are seeking an Area Sales Manager to manage a territory with a primary focus on OTC livestock products. This role requires someone who can effectively cover a broad geographic area, driving sales growth and fostering strong relationships with clients.

Location: You should be living on territory for this role.

Territory: Mansfield, Benalla, Alexandra, Yea, Seymour, Bendigo, Ararat, Stawell, Edenhope, Mildura, along the Murray River back to Echuca, then back across to Benalla.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders within the designated territory.
• Drive sales growth and achieve sales targets for OTC livestock products.
• Provide exceptional customer service and support to existing clients.
• Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to capture them.
• Conduct regular market analysis and report on competitive activities.
• Deliver product presentations and training to clients.

Qualifications:

• Proven sales experience, preferably in the animal health or agricultural sector (this can be field sales, customer service etc within the animal health/livestock/agriculture industry)
• Strong understanding of the livestock industry and OTC products is desirable.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a large territory.
• Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the territory.
