Area Sales Manager - Assistive Technology NSW

If this sounds like you... A leading manufacturer and innovator of Assistive Technology is looking for someone like you to join our commercial team as an Area Sales Manager.

The role on offer will be responsible for driving growth and co-managing a large territory in the selling and supporting of assistive medical device products. Specifically, the role will be driven by a regular call cycle, visiting existing and potential B2B accounts including the business development of potential new opportunities. The role is supported by a team including clinicians, industry experts along with local and global manufacturing facilities.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Effectively drive results and meet sales quotas for a specific territory.
  • Providing on-going education/training for identified target dealer accounts.
  • Strong coaching and negotiation skills to achieve both manufacturer and Agent KPIs.
  • Deliver specific tailored offerings, promotions and training materials that have been developed by the company.
  • Corresponding with clients and managing customer relationships.
  • Gaining specific insights from dealers and clinicians to facilitate future product development ideas.
  • New product introductions at identified target clinical facilities and dealer accounts.
  • Assist in developing of other promotional material as required.
  • Overnight travel and some special events on weekends are required.
  • Other adhoc duties as required.

To Excel in this role, you must have:

  • High degree of business acumen
  • Existing experience in similar role
  • Strong sales and call planning skills
  • Demonstrate success in both verbal & written communication while providing excellent customer focus
  • Aptitude for retaining technical information and applying these in a sales scenario
  • Excellent Communication Skills, Inter-Personal Skills and Computer Skills, i.e. Microsoft Office Programs, Tablet Technology, Proprietary Software
  • Ability to travel up to one week at a time
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to coordinate and liaise with all stakeholders
  • Highly motivated with a positive attitude. A strong team player
  • Good attention to detail, ability to work efficiently and unsupervised
