Case Study: Qualified Person for Large Pharma.
At a Glance.
A multinational pharmaceutical company with over 25,000 employees. This client is a leading provider of medicines to the NHS which help improve the lives of millions of patients in the UK.
The Challenge.
The pharmaceutical company was urgently recruiting for a Qualified Person (QP) to oversee the entire manufacturing process at their Runcorn site and approve all medicinal batches. Despite searching for about twelve months, they had been unsuccessful in finding a suitable candidate due to a lack of company culture and the requirement for the new hire to be onsite five days a week.
The Solution.
At i-Pharm, we believe in working in partnership with our clients and the first step was to take a detailed brief of the skillset required by the client. From this, we were able to leverage our active network of Qualified Person consultants across the UK and EU and our dedicated team were immediately able to get in touch with available candidates.
Our team found a candidate who had just left a permanent position and wanted to go back into contracting.
The Outcome.
Our dedicated team sent two CVs to the pharmaceutical client within six hours of receiving the requirement. We were completely transparent and honest with the candidates, offering ongoing support throughout the entire process. After two-stage interviews, which included a Microsoft Teams call with HR and an onsite interview, the client was absolutely delighted with the candidate. They thought they were great and appreciated their extensive experience as a QP, a role that is not easy to fill.
We sent two CVs resulting in two interviews and one job offer. We also provided post-placement follow-up and handled any counteroffers. We were concerned that this candidate, who was highly sought after, might receive other job offers. To ensure their retention, we conducted postplacement check-up calls every two weeks, and we also included a retention clause in their contract.
After a 12 month search we were delighted with the outcome that came from partnering with i-Pharm.
